Brown reflected on his junior season at Pahokee.
“I love how Coach [Matthew Sparrowhawk; Pahokee Blue Devils head coach] let me play in multiple different spots to impact the game,” the 5-foot-11, 175-pound running back said. “I wish I could have got more carries at back.”
Brown on his relationship with Sparrowhawk:
“Coach Sparrowhawk is a great coach,” Brown said. “He’s the best at teaching O-line, but he also knows how everything else is supposed to be ran. As a person, he’s a cool guy. He makes jokes all the time and talks to us about life outside of football.”
At this time, Brown has two offers from West Virginia and Western Kentucky. He has also gained interest from the likes of Western Michigan, USF, Northern Illinois, FAU, and FIU.
Brown on West Virginia:
“West Virginia just stands out to me,” Brown said. “I used to watch the Tavon Austin highlight before every game since little league.”
Brown on Western Kentucky:
“Western Kentucky – I know they like to pass the ball a lot, so I would be able to show my receiving side a lot there,” Brown said.
Brown on Western Kentucky defensive backs coach and Belle Glade native Da’Von Brown:
“He really shows love to the Muck,” Brown said. “I think we need more of that.”

Brown is currently hard at work in become a better version of himself. He has one individual goal in what will be his final season as a Pahokee Blue Devils running back: 2,000 or more rushing yards in 2024.
The last Pahokee running back to accomplish this amazing feat was Vincent Smith in 2008.
“I have been on the grind daily, 2-3 workouts a day, just trying to get better at my craft and really preparing for college, not just high school,” Brown said. “I know Dube [Vincent Smith]; he came at the end of the year last year and was coaching us up a little.”
FUN FACT: Rashon Brown is the half-brother of Cardinal Newman ‘25 running back Jaylin Brown (5-foot-11, 185 pounds; 16 total offers to date).
Rashon on Jaylin:
“Me and Jbo [Jaylin] relationship is very close,” Rashon said. “That’s like my twin. Me and his games are completely different though. He’s a power back and he likes contact. My game is to make you miss. JBo has been producing. I think he should be one of the top backs in the country right now.”
NOTE: We at Muck City Media Enterprises will be closely watching Rashon Brown’s continual progress on and off the field from now until the day he signs his letter of intent with the college of his choice.
