WELLINGTON – Earlier this week (Tuesday, March 12), Nedrick Boldin achieved a major milestone for himself.

The Palm Beach Central ‘25 WR decided to pledge his verbal commitment to Boston College. He shared his reasoning for why he went with the ACC school as his top choice.
“I love their program,” Nedrick said. “I love what they have in store for me. They also have a great education, and it’s what I’m looking for. I have a great opportunity to make it to the next level.”
Nedrick has picked up 20 offers to date. He chose Boston College over the likes of:
•Mississippi State
•Arkansas
•Maryland
•Indiana
•Pitt
•Bowling Green
•FAU
•Akron
•Eastern Kentucky
•Western Kentucky
•Liberty
•Tulane
•Appalachian State
•Western Michigan
•UMass
•Bethune-Cookman
•Wagner College
Nedrick’s success at Palm Beach Central played a large role in how he garnered his 20 offers to date and subsequent verbal commitment to Boston College. He had a junior season to remember for the Broncos in more ways than one.
In 11 games played, Nedrick posted the following statistics:
RUSHING
•9 carries
•76 yards
•4 touchdowns
RECEIVING
•56 receptions
•418 yards
•7 touchdowns
TOTAL YARDS: 494
DEFENSE
•7 tackles
•1 forced fumble
•1 fumble recovery
“This past season was great,” Nedrick said of Palm Beach Central, which finished with a 10-3 record and a Class 4M-Region 3 final appearance.
“It was a team full of young guys with a goal, but because we were young we veered off track a bit and fell short of our goal,” Nedrick continued. “Although we had success this past season, coming up we will be a well-oiled machine.”
Nedrick had a game-winning rushing touchdown to give Palm Beach Central a 33-30 overtime win over Pahokee in Week 4 of this past season.

Nedrick on how it felt to come through in the clutch back home:
“It showed everyone that I really am an athlete, playing both sides of the ball and dominating even at running back,” the 6-foot, 180-pound standout said. “It felt good to go back to my hometown and show them that the Muck didn’t leave me.”
What does being a Muckstepper mean to Nedrick?
“There is no other place like the Muck,” Nedrick said. “Everything we get is more than earned, and plus there is not many of us in the Muck. It’s easy to get sucked up into the wrong lifestyle that the Muck is known for. But to have those few people to go D1 (Division 1), I’m proud because it’s where I’m from and it raised me to be smart, a hard worker, and to be tough. I represent the Muck everywhere I go because there is nothing to be ashamed of. We the best in the business, and the whole county knows that. Soon to be the whole nation.”
Fun fact: Nedrick is the cousin of NFL Hall of Fame candidate and Pahokee legend Anquan Boldin.
Nedrick spoke about Anquan’s overall impact on his game and his life.
“He influences me without even knowing it on and off the field,” Nedrick said of Anquan. “I look up to him because there is not many people in the world that can do what he did in the NFL and what he did for his community. Although he wasn’t the first to go to the league from the Muck, he really put the Muck on the map. The whole city looks up to him and respects him, and that’s what I aspire to do.”
Nedrick looks forward to having a memorable upcoming senior season at Palm Beach Central and more.
“My individual goals this year are to always put my team in the best position to win every game and be the best leader I can possibly to help my team,” Nedrick said. “As a team the goal remains the same: Win a state championship.”
