PAHOKEE – Corey Bouie ended his college recruiting process earlier this evening (April 3).

After evaluating his future, the Pahokee Blue Devils ‘24 linebacker/safety signed his letter of intent with Nebraska Wesleyan (Division III). He pledged his verbal commitment to the Prairie Wolves on March 25, nine days before making it official.
Bouie began the process with Nebraska Wesleyan during the Palm Beach County Recruiting Fair on Feb. 21 at John I. Leonard High School in Greenacres. He spoke on how it all went down from there.
“When I attended the recruiting fair, which was introduced to me by my coaches, I actually met a few coaches in person,” the 5-foot-10, 175-pound defender said. “They explained details about their college that I was interested in, so that made it my top option of schools. And once I had a Zoom meeting with the head coach and staff, I had confirmed that I wanted to commit.”
Bouie will double major in Criminal Justice and Agriculture at Nebraska Wesleyan.
With that said, Bouie’s senior season at Pahokee helped to pave the way for this opportunity. He finished his final campaign by posting the following statistics at the linebacker position:
•48 total tackles (4.1 tackles per game)
•4 tackles for loss
•3.5 sacks
•5 quarterback hurries
•3 forced fumbles
“My senior season went good,” Bouie said. “This season wasn’t the greatest, but I know I had the potential to play better than what I did. But either way, I still had fun and I enjoyed playing with my teammates.”
