GREENACRES – Willie Snead III is a trailblazer in his own right.
The Belle Glade native, who has won Glades Central’s last of six state titles as a head coach in 2006, founded the West Palm Beach Christian Academy in 2020.
Three years later, the Glades Central alum, former Virginia and Florida wide receiver, and former NFL wide receiver (1989 NFL Draft selection), would go on to be specially recognized by RAIN Foundations for his athletic, coaching, and philanthropic works over the course of several decades.
And on this past Sunday (April 14), Snead III was honored by RAIN Foundations for hosting a special book signing for his autobiography entitled ‘Reflections: Journey of a Sportsman and Philanthropist’ at the Church in the Palms Church of God edifice in Greenacres (Fla.).

“It’s truly humbling and immensely gratifying to be recognized by an esteemed organization like RAIN Foundations,” said Snead III, who is also the pastor of Palm Beach Christian Ministries.
“It reaffirms the importance of the work we’re doing in coaching, mentoring, and pastoral care, and motivates me to continue making a positive impact on the lives of others,” Snead III continued. “This is legacy work for the Kingdom of God.”

Prior to Sunday’s special book signing event, Snead III was awarded in the Sports Category of the Prestigious Annual Predecessors Awards 2023 – America Edition. As an honoree, Author Ralph as he is affectionately known, announced that the Predecessors Awards Worldwide would host Snead III in Ghana, Africa in a few months to officially launch his legacy project and foundation named HOPE NETWORK INC. WORLDWIDE.

As the keynote speaker of Snead III’s book signing, Author Ralph dropped a dollop of very important wisdom nuggets for all to soak in and use for life.

In addition to these powerful pieces of advice for all to follow, Raphaelle Antwi, founder of Predecessors Awards Worldwide, lauded Willie Snead III for his outstanding, inspiring, and exemplary life as both a sportsman and philanthropist.
Antwi explained that for many people, LIFE meant Living In Fear Everyday. Hence, people like Snead III who offer hope to many are priceless assets worth celebrating.
Fellow Muckstepper and NFL wide receiver Willie Snead IV, the son of Willie Snead III, bought the first copy of the book. He took the time to comment on this momentous occasion.
“My father had a book published,” Snead IV said. “It’s a recognition of all the hard work he’s done. We had a great organization come to support my dad. They’ve been doing a really good job in recognizing my dad in the right ways. I’m so happy for my dad and everything he’s accomplished. I feel like this is just the first step for him impacting the world and not just boys.”
