LAKE WORTH BEACH – We had a blast at Dr. Joaquin Garcia High School on Saturday (April 27).
Hosted by St. Andrew’s defensive coordinator Gad Jacobs, the 561 Showcase was a true display of what our area has to offer from many positions in the 2025, 2026, and 2027 classes.

More than 50 underclassmen from Palm Beach County took advantage of the majestically beautiful blue turf and atmosphere that just makes it all feel special.
The showcase started with a dedication session for the offensive linemen and defensive linemen. They soaked in a series of positional drills and took sound instruction from a host of area coaches who built up their confidence.
After the positional drills, we got to see the OL vs. DL 1-on-1’s in action. A lot of growth took place right before our eyes, and many of the linemen at the event were pleased with how it all went down on their behalf.
Once the linemen sessions ended, they went ahead to get special media treatment from a multitude of media outlets.
All in all, the linemen got a full array of attention from coaches and media members alike.
They all should feel good about going into the spring football circuit, which starts tomorrow (April 29).
After their moment wrapped up, it was time for the skill position players to get theirs all on their own.
There were many individual drills for the quarterbacks, wide receivers, defensive backs, running backs, and linebackers to take part in. They also received some sound instructional tips from a host of coaches on hand to see them do well at this showcase.
And then the main event happened.
Suffice to say, the 1-on-1’s for the skill position players turned out to be the most exciting part of the event.
We have some footage of how it all went down.
After the 1-on-1’s ended for the skill position players, Jacobs rounded up the participants and gave them both words of encouragement and thanks for coming out to the showcase.
Hear what Jacobs had to say about how the showcase turned out and more by listening to the clip below.
