One of Allen’s best plays of the season was in Week 10 against Palm Beach Central. When covering fellow classmate and University of Miami verbal commit Waden Charles (wide receiver), the Pahokee native caught an interception in the process.

Watch the video below for proof.

“That’s a four-star right there; Miami commit,”Allen said of Charles. “I plan on making big plays like that so I can get offered to more schools.”

Allen spoke on lining up against the top wide receivers in Palm Beach County and on the Treasure Coast, including the likes of Charles and Vero Beach ‘24 athlete Isaiah Roberts.

“It’s a challenge,” Allen said. “You gotta man up. You gotta show them you could be the top player. You could be next. I just plan on going up against some more in the future.”

Allen will be lined up against Charles again when Wellington plays against Palm Beach Central for the Wellington Cup in Week 10, which will happen in late October.

“I plan on strapping Waden Charles,” Allen said. “He’s a great athlete. It’s gonna be a challenge, but I accept any challenge. I’m gonna work hard.”

Allen’s play has resulted in a recent offer from Keiser, plus an early commitment to the West Palm Beach-based institution.

“Coach [Chris] Ortiz texted me and gave me the opportunity to get offered to this school,” Allen said of the 2023 NAIA national champions. “I’m blessed. Keiser is a great school. I plan on making their program better as an athlete going both ways.”

Allen has played a role in Wellington’s growth moments, which will be on full display today (May 10) at the Blue-Grey Scrimmage Game (4:30 p.m. start time).

“We plan on making everyone around us better,” Allen said. “We got new guys and upcoming freshmen. We plan on making them better, so we can give them the spotlight for next year.”

Allen summed it up with advice for all.

“Work hard,” Allen said. “Never give up. Keep going. Don’t never stop. Make your family proud.”
