Milestone moment: Marquis Clarke signs LOI with FMU

BELLE GLADE – Marquis Clarke will go down as a Glades Day legend in more ways than one.

The Gators ‘24 superstar earned MVP honors from his team on the night of Monday, May 13 at his school’s athletic awards ceremony inside the Glades Day gymnasium. He shared the honor with Jadin Herrera.

Three days later, the 5-foot-9, 175-pound athlete officially ended his college recruiting process by signing his letter of intent (LOI) with Florida Memorial University for baseball.

In 23 total games (15-8 final record for Glades Day; reached District 8-1A title game), Clarke posted the following statistics:

PLEASE NOTE: Clarke will be an official high school graduate and alum from Glades Day tomorrow evening (Friday, May 17; 7 p.m.). And on the next day (Saturday, May 18), he will officially wrap up all high school-related activities by playing in the Florida Baseball Classic All-Star Game at the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach.
