Pick is in: Stetson is college destination for DB Corrado DeSantis

PALM BEACH GARDENS – The college football recruiting process was quite a long one for Corrado DeSantis.

But it was well worth the wait, as the Dwyer ‘24 defensive back ended it today (May 12) by going with Stetson as his next destination.

The Hatters (FCS school; Pioneer League) have gained a potential cornerstone to their defense, as the 6-foot-1, 185-pound safety had a breakout senior season to remember with the Dwyer Panthers. His film speaks for itself and more.

DeSantis chose Stetson over the likes of Fordham and Keiser as his college home.

“Corrado as a player on the field stood out because he was always flying around the field and always around the ball,” Pahokee ‘24 cornerback and The Citadel signee Pierre Fertil said. “He’s an amazing athlete. He lined up at more than one position when they played us.”

DeSantis has been a three-sport athlete at Dwyer in football, wrestling, and track.

The Palm Beach County All-State and FHSAA state wrestling qualifier is now also an FHSAA state track qualifier. His final high school action will be the Class 4A state track and field championships on Saturday, May 18 at UNF-Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville.

Corrado DeSantis will be the first leg of Dwyer’s 4×400 relay team in the FHSAA’s final track and field event of 2024 at the Class 4A State Track and Field Championships in Jacksonville on Saturday, May 18.

And on Thursday, May 23, DeSantis will officially become a 2024 graduate and alum of Dwyer High School.

It has been an amazing high school experience for DeSantis, who is projected to continue his path of greatness at Stetson and beyond. We wish him nothing but the best in all of his current and future endeavors.
