BELLE GLADE – In the college recruiting world, size matters a lot.
Measuring at 6-foot-5, 310 pounds, Glades Central ‘26 offensive lineman Javarii Luckas received his first Big Ten offer this afternoon (June 2) from Penn State.
This is his second offer overall, as the Nittany Lions extended their verbal a few hours after the Miami Hurricanes opened the college recruiting floodgates with the first one for Luckas.
Glades Central ‘25 defensive back Tavarion James spoke on this big accomplishment for Luckas.
“Baby J is a great player and person,” James said of Luckas. “He started off slow, but he’s catching on really quick. He got that dog work ethic and has a great personality. I’m very proud of him. I can’t wait until fall starts. The whole team is working and ready. Glades Central is back for everything.”

MUCK CONNECTION TO PENN STATE
Belle Glade native, Glades Central alum, and Palm Beach County Hall of Famer Ja’Juan Seider is the assistant head coach/co-offensive coordinator/running backs coach for Penn State.
Expect the Nittany Lions to be right in the mix for the Luckas Sweepstakes from now all the way up the end of the Raiders offensive lineman’s recruiting process.
