The ‘25 wide receiver spent his freshman season at Boca Raton before transferring to St. Andrew’s for his sophomore and junior seasons.

Each year has been one of progress for the 6-foot-1, 185-pound athlete. To this point, his junior season was arguably the best one yet at St. Andrew’s.

Here are Hoffman’s numbers in 11 games played:

OFFENSE

•51 catches

•927 yards

•15 touchdowns

DEFENSE

•31 total tackles (17 solo, 14 assist)

•12 pass breakups

•3 interceptions

•1 touchdown

Hoffman’s overall production on the field has helped in him garnering a total of 12 offers to date. Here is the list below:

•Nebraska

•Appalachian State

•Western Kentucky

•Eastern Kentucky

•Army

•Navy

•Akron

•UMass

•Lafayette

•Bethune-Cookman

•Elon

•New Hampshire

Of these 12 schools, one stands out to Hoffman at this time.

“First off, they have been showing me love ever since they offered me,” said Hoffman, who earned his offer from Appalachian State on Jan. 31.

“I got on campus and I knew right away I could get used to this fast and enjoy myself,” Hoffman continued. “They text me and my dad almost every single morning just to see how we are and stuff. I think it’s important during the recruitment process to love those who love you.”

The three Appalachian State coaches who have been recruiting Hoffman are head coach Shawn Clark, offensive coordinator/quarterback coach Frank Ponce, and wide receiver coach Lawrence Dawsey.

“We had a meeting when I was there,” Hoffman said. “Coach Clark, he’s a really cool dude. Coach Ponce and Coach Dawsey, those are my guys.”

Hoffman’s official visit to App State will be from Monday, June 17 to Wednesday, June 19 in Boone, N.C.

Hoffman on App State’s production and potential:

“App State is known to be the team that’s going to play with anybody and give them a good game,” Hoffman said. “Two years ago, they went into Texas A&M when they were ranked sixth in the nation and beat them. And the last two years, they went to overtime with UNC (North Carolina). So they are just going to keep building off of what they have been doing.”

Crystal ball prediction: App State is the odds-on favorite to land Hoffman.

With that being said, Hoffman got some glowing commentary from a familiar high school coach. He got it from former St. Andrew’s offensive coordinator Turmarian Moreland, a Belle Glade native who is now going into his second year as the head coach of Palm Beach Lakes, his alma mater.

“Teddy is one of the best I have ever coached,” Moreland said. “I coached guys at the receiver position that have played at the P5 (Power 5) level, etc. Teddy is right up there for as his playmaking ability is concerned, like a Tavares Martin I had at John I. Leonard. He has hands like Bryan Robinson, who I had at Palm Beach Central. Teddy had close to 1,000 yards his sophomore year when I was there, with teams rolling coverage to him every week.”

Moreland did not stop there.

“I can see Teddy playing pretty early wherever he goes at the next level,” Moreland said. “Teddy’s biggest compliment is that Teddy is a complete “dog” in how he approach the game. He plays the game with a chip on his shoulder and will attack the defender every play, run game included. We have a great class in our county this year at the receiver position, but Teddy is the best Z/X receiver in our county in the 2025 Class. Just look at his numbers the last two years, and I’m sure he will do the same this year in Delray.”

During the offseason, Hoffman made another transfer move from St. Andrew’s to Atlantic (Delray Beach).

Hoffman spoke on it.

“I love Saint Andrews and everything about it; the people are also great,” Hoffman said. “The main reason I made my choice was the competition Atlantic will be facing this year. And every day in practice, going against great athletes is making me better.”

Hoffman had himself a stellar scrimmage game with Atlantic last month. Watch for yourself below.

Hoffman’s aspirations for his upcoming senior year at Atlantic are simple. His Individual goals are to get at least 15 touchdowns and 1,000 yards, while his team goal is to win a state championship at Atlantic.

“It’s going to be a great year,” Hoffman said.
