BELLE GLADE/MIAMI – Omar Haugabook has been hard at work in making sure his players get exposure from colleges nationwide.
The Glades Central head coach has taken his 2025, 2026, and 2027 standouts to the University of Miami (Sunday, June 2) and Florida International University (FIU; Saturday, June 8) in Coral Gables and Miami, respectively.

As a result of these two major opportunities for our student-athletes, several of them have garnered college scholarship offers and a dollop of confidence in themselves both internally and externally.
FIRST CAMP STOP: University of Miami OL/DL Competition
This past Sunday was strictly about the linemen, who came into the summer with no offers to speak of.
When it was all said and done, Glades Central 2026 offensive lineman Javarii Luckas (6-foot-5, 310 pounds; official measurements) received his first offer from the University of Miami.
Later in the day, Luckas earned his second offer from Penn State, which currently has Glades Central alum and Palm Beach County Hall of Famer Ja’Juan Seider as its co-offensive coordinator.
To sum it up, Luckas earned two Power 5 offers – one in the ACC and one in the Big 10.
Additionally, Glades Central 2025 offensive lineman Jerry Alcindor turned heads in the OL/DL 1-on-1’s at the University of Miami. While he did not receive an offer at that particular time, the 6-foot-3, 270-pound left tackle did set himself up for opportunities at the next camp.
Also standing out were Sauvernson Paul (6-foot-2, 215-pound defensive end; 2025 class),
“Our team collectively played well,” Haugabook said. “I’m very pleased.”
Haugabook released a post on his Facebook page to share with everyone how great the University of Miami experience turned out this past Sunday.

SECOND CAMP STOP: FIU Mega Camp
This one was open to both the linemen and skill position players.
Suffice to say, many Glades Central players were out at FIU Stadium to showcase their overall abilities in front of 25 colleges from the Division 1 level to the NAIA level.
Colleges at the FIU Mega Camp were:
•FIU
•Miami
•Pitt
•Syracuse
•Georgia Tech
•Wake Forest
•Indiana
•Western Kentucky
•Temple
•Western Michigan
•Akron
•Bryant
•Tennessee State
•Florida A&M
•Valdosta State
•Edward Waters
•Keiser
•St. Thomas
Seven more colleges were out there to evaluate talent from the Muck and beyond.
As a result of the FIU Mega Camp experience, the following Glades Central players received offers today:
•Luckas – Third offer to FIU
•Alcindor – First offer to Bryant
•James (Glades Central 2025 defensive back) – Sixth offer from FIU; other five offers are from Western Kentucky (first offer), UT-Chattanooga (second offer), UT-Martin (third offer), West Georgia (fourth offer), and UNC Pembroke (fifth offer)
•Daryl Goring (Glades Central 2027 defensive back) – First offer to Western Kentucky
Another player to look out for is Javon Harris (2025 defensive back). He could start seeing offers coming his way sometime soon.
“I liked the energy there,” Harris said. “Just everybody giving their all.”
Let us not forget about Leslie Mosley (Glades Central 2026 athlete), who is seen as the heart and soul of his team in more ways than one. He has one offer from Western Kentucky at this time.
And then there is Taj Barnes (Glades Central 2026 quarterback), who already has two offers from Western Kentucky and North Palm Beach Prep.
Watch Barnes in action from today’s FIU Camp.
BONUS: Watch out for Chris Pompilus (Glades Central 2025 wide receiver). He had himself a standout play at the FIU Mega Camp.
We will have additional highlights for you all as more information comes our way.
