The Pahokee 2026 offensive lineman/defensive lineman played in at least four meaningful games last season. His statistics on both offense and defense were:

OFFENSE

•8 pancakes

DEFENSE

•13 tackles

•3 tackles for loss

•2 sacks

•2 quarterback hurries

BEST INDIVIDUAL GAME: Week 11 in the Muck Bowl vs. Glades Central – 4 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, 1 quarterback hurry in 55-22 home win

Embry on the Muck Bowl experience:

“Our game plan going into to was for me to keep pressure on the QB at all times,” the 6-foot-2, 265-pound two-way lineman said. “We also planned to make the run game harder for the running backs and the back field. I can say I did my job perfectly by us only holding them to 165 rushing yards and holding the QB back only to 218 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.”

Embry recapped his sophomore season with the Blue Devils.

“For my sophomore season, I love how they moved me around the ball when it came down to offense and defense,” Embry said. “And I also love how the coaches game planned around me. The only thing I would’ve changed is them letting me play defense more earlier in the season.”

We got to see more progress from Embry in Pahokee’s spring game on the road against Martin County last month (May 16).

The Blue Devils lineman had four pancakes on offense, while adding two tackles for loss and one quarterback hurry on defense in his team’s 17-8 loss to the Tigers.

“We were really doing great in the first half,” Embry said. “But something clicked for them the second half.”

The summer offseason promises to see even more growth for Embry.

“For this offseason I will be going to camps,” Embry said. “I’m also getting faster with my footwork and will be hitting that weight room 10 times harder.”

Embry shared his goals for his upcoming junior season with Pahokee.

“After what happened in the Martin County game, we have been non-stop hitting the dike, hitting the weight room, and grinding,” Embry said. “But our team goals are to build team chemistry, grind together, help each other out when it comes down to anything, and always – I mean always – go chase that state championship.”
