PAHOKEE – Get to know Herbert Crawford III.
The Pahokee Blue Devils ‘25 wide receiver/defensive back is the son of Herbert Crawford Jr., who is a longtime staple of the Pahokee community and advocate of the area’s youth.

The 5-foot-10, 158-pound two-way player completed his first varsity football season as a junior by compiling 48 offensive yards and a touchdown.
While that may not be much on the surface, it was a confidence builder of sorts for Crawford III.
“Last year I did great,” Crawford III said. “I learned new concepts and what coaches expect me to do on and off the field.”
Progress has been made over the past several months for the budding star, who is enjoying the opportunity to showcase his talents in the summer offseason. Evidence of this took place at the FIU Mega Camp in Miami, which occurred on Saturday, June 8 and Saturday, June 15.
“The coaches are now working with me to gain weight and build up muscle,” Crawford III said. “They are helping me on the field as well.”
Crawford III shared his aspirations for the upcoming fall season with the Pahokee Blue Devils.
“I want to get 600 yards and 10 touchdowns,” Crawford III said. “And I want to get at least 15 offers so I can commit and be a multi-sport athlete.”
Crawford III credits his father for where he is at now and more.
“I’m thankful to my dad for his leadership towards me,” Crawford III said. “I’m grateful for the impact he has in our community, his love for his family, and the way he treats me to prepare for the real world.”
