Jocks on his junior season with Martin County:
“My junior year was memorable,” said Jocks, who is currently ranked as the No. 11 overall player on the Treasure Coast.
“I loved being able to preform for the school, my teammates, and my friends and family,” Jocks continued. “We had some great team wins and had an awesome time competing. If I could go back, I would’ve liked to be able to tighten things up and fix what we could’ve controlled in our few losses last year.”
Jocks has picked up two offers from Keiser and Grinnell as a result of his on-field production. He spoke on that and his current recruiting process as a whole.
“My recruiting process started very slow,” Jocks said. “Being undersized, it’s hard to get it started. But as of now my recruiting process has been going very well. In terms of my offers, I currently hold offers from Grinnell College, who first took a chance on me and Keiser University, who I have had connections with since the beginning of my recruiting process. I look forward to what comes next in my journey.”
This offseason has been a period of growth in more ways than one for Jocks, who spoke on his experiences as he has been working to improve his overall craft.
“This offseason, in addition to attending our high school summer workouts, I worked out with my trainer Mason Wilfong,” Jocks said. “I also attended multiple college football camps, where I dominated and proved myself to many coaches. I also became a part of the travel 5v5 national team for Trench Mob based in Atlanta, coached by former Jaguars defensive lineman Julius Williams, Mike Suarez, and Jordan Harris. We competed against some of the best prospects in the country, where I was able to gain valuable experience and knowledge from coaches who have been in my position and got very good film against high level talent.”
Jocks opened up about what his expectations are for the upcoming fall season at Martin County.
“Individually, I hope to preform the best I can, not just for myself, but for my team,” Jocks said. “I think our team will shock a lot of people this year. My biggest goal for the team is to take it day by day, winning each practice and game. Then we will look toward winning the county and the district before we make the playoffs.”
