Recover mode: ATH Legend Felican

DELRAY BEACH – Last season is officially in the rearview mirror.

As of today (Aug. 15), senior athlete Legend Felican will be all about this upcoming season for the next few months ahead.

But first, let us reflect on what transpired when Felican was a junior.

Playing for Inlet Grove at the quarterback position, Felican was limited to just one full game and another half game due to an injury he sustained there.

But Felican did make the most of his years at Inlet Grove. We have film to prove it.

Watch below.

“I feel like the season would be way better if I didn’t get hurt,” the 5-foot-10, 170-pound athlete said. “We would’ve won a lot more games. I fractured my fibula and was casted for about four weeks. And right when I got out the cast, I began physical therapy and getting back stronger.”

During Felican’s recovery process this past offseason, he decided to transfer from Inlet Grove to Atlantic in his hometown of Delray Beach.

“I did it for better opportunities and I wanted to win,” Felican said. “I feel like I can do better over here. We got a stacked team.”

At this time, Felican has six college offers. They are as follows:

•Temple

•Rhode Island

•Bowling Green

•Charlotte

•Western Kentucky

•James Madison

Felican has no leader at this time. He stated when he plans to make his final college decision.

“Definitely by the end of the season,” Felican said.

Going back to Atlantic, Felican said his recovery process has been quite smooth over these past several months.

“It’s been great,” Felican said. “I’ve honestly got faster and stronger since. I feel like I’ve improved a lot over the offseason, especially at Atlantic. Everybody makes each other better everyday, and I love that. I had to work out my knee everyday and make sure it was rested for the next workout the next day to be able to be 100 percent.”

With Atlantic’s kickoff classic set for today (Aug. 15; 6:30 p.m. kickoff time) at Palm Beach Central in Wellington, Felican opened up about his aspirations for these next few months.

“My individual goal is to go to college for free,” Felican said. “And the biggest goal is going to and winning states.”
