PORT ST. LUCIE – The shining moment of opportunity has arrived.
For senior defensive back Anthony Saget, it is a perfect time to let everything work itself out on the field.
After a great junior season at Treasure Coast, the defensive standout is looking to take his game to the next level.
For this past year with the Titans, the 5-foot-11, 170-pound defensive back posted the following statistics:
•45 tackles
•6 pass breakups
•2 interceptions
Best individual game – Week 2 against Jesuit (Tampa) in a 67-28 home win with:
•7 tackles
•3 assist tackles
•1 tackle for loss
•1 interception
Saget reflected on his junior campaign at Treasure Coast.
“My junior season was filled with so many great memories,” Saget said. “I loved the camaraderie with my teammates and the thrill of competing. If I had to change something, maybe I would’ve focused a bit more on my speed training to improve even further.”
At this moment, Saget has no scholarship offers. But he firmly believes they will come at the right time.
“i have a couple of school showing me some interest,” Saget said. “Hopefully this upcoming season I have an amazing season, catching some more interest. Hopefully one school believes in me.”
Saget decided to transfer from Treasure Coast to his high school stomping grounds at Centennial. He played for Cen10 during his freshman and sophomore season before moving on to Treasure Coast as a junior.
Side note: The father-son duo of assistant coach Vladimir Saget and senior defensive back Anthony Saget, along with senior athlete Cameron “Cam” Harris, moved on together from Treasure Coast to Centennial during this past offseason.
“I just wanted to go back to the beginning where it all started at,” Anthony Saget said.

The Eagles senior defensive back spoke on head coach Jacob Turay.
“Coach T is holding each player accountable,” Anthony Saget said. “He’s pushing us to always do the right thing, no matter how small it is. He’s making sure we are being great young men on and off the field.”
Anthony Saget shared his aspirations for his senior season at Centennial.
“My individual goal for the season is to be the No. 1 DB in the Treasure Coast area,” Anthony Saget said. “Last year I had some of the best stats from DB’s in the area. This year I’m hoping to beat those stats by succeeding and improving. And as for my team goals, I’m hoping that we can get a back to the old Cen10 and be one of the top teams in the area. We want to win our district this year.”
Second side note: Anthony Saget is a dual sport athlete. He was a district champion in wrestling and plans on making it to the FHSAA state championship wrestling meet as a senior.
