Top 10 Muckstepper Performances from Week 2

PALM BEACH COUNTY – It was not too much of a challenge this time to compile a list of top performers from the Muck for Week 2.

After getting a slew of good to great ones that are worth highlighting, we can show off our area’s best from last week’s slate of games.

Below is a list of our Top 10 and Honorable Mentions from Week 2.

1. ATH Jyron Hughley (Cardinal Newman): 8-for-13 passing for 108 yards and 1 touchdown; 11 carries, 117 yards, 1 touchdown; 225 all-purpose yards in 42-21 road win over Carrollwood Day (Tampa)

2. RB Jaylin Brown (Cardinal Newman): 12 carries, 190 yards, 2 touchdowns; 2 receptions, 19 yards; 209 all-purpose yards in 42-21 road win over Carrollwood Day (Tampa)

3. WR Demetrius Gibson (Royal Palm Beach): 7 receptions, 143 yards, 3 touchdowns in 57-14 home win over John I. Leonard

4. OL/DL Derrick Patterson (Royal Palm Beach): 2 pancakes on offense; 9 tackles (7 tackles for loss), 3 sacks in 57-14 home win over John I. Leonard

5. WR Demetrice Rolle (Royal Palm Beach): 2 kick returns for touchdowns on special teams; 1 interception on defense; 181 all-purpose yards in 57-14 home win over John I. Leonard                                                     

6. RB Armaud Stinfort (Glades Central): 18 carries, 121 yards, 1 touchdown; 20-yard reception; 141 all-purpose yards in 20-14 road win over Martin County

7. DE/LB Kani Smith (Pahokee): 7 tackles (4 tackles for loss), 3 sacks in 27-7 home win over Inlet Grove

8. OL Sadler Soles (Glades Central): 7 pancakes in 20-14 road win over Martin County

9. DB Daryl Goring (Glades Central): 5 tackles, 2 pass breakups, 1 interception for 54 yards in 20-14 road win over Martin County

10. CB Damon Allen (West Boca Raton): 3 tackles, 1 interception; no passes caught on him in 4 targets thrown his way (unofficial stat) in 28-7 road win over Palm Beach Central

•QB Garrett Rimes (Seminole Ridge): 12-for-19 passing, 152 yards; 14 carries, 47 yards, 2 touchdowns; 199 all-purpose yards in 27-23 road loss to Spanish River

•DB Armadi Stinfort (Glades Central): 6 tackles in 20-14 win over Martin County

•DB Carmelo Wells (Inlet Grove): 5 tackles, 1 forced fumble in 27-7 road loss to Pahokee
