Revenge: Easy road win for Fort Pierce Westwood

MOORE HAVEN – The Fort Pierce Westwood Panthers started the season with a 0-4 record.

Led by head coach Chris Kokell, they have been at work in their quest to come back from the challenging first few games.

Westwood began its redemption run with a 38-8 win over Centennial in Week 6.

After Westwood’s first victory of the season, the focus turned to Moore Haven for a revenge match in Glades County.

The Fort Pierce squad overcame last year’s 22-20 home loss to Moore Haven by flipping it to a 31-6 road win last night (Oct. 4).

Westwood used a halftime lead of 18-0 and extended it to 31-0 in the third quarter. We will show you Westwood’s final touchdown of the game right below.

Though Moore Haven would suffer a blowout loss on its homecoming, it was able to muster a touchdown in the game’s final seconds. Watch below for yourself.

For Fort Pierce Westwood, it was a full team effort from start to finish. Players and coaches reflected on how they got it done and more.

With the win, Fort Pierce Westwood improved to 2-4 on the season. As for Moore Haven, the loss resulted in a 2-3 record.
