BOCA RATON – As we inch closer to the end of the regular season, standouts emerge clearly for all to see.
One of Palm Beach County’s breakout players is Jordan Davis, who is a 2025 athlete from Boca Raton. Playing for the Bobcats, the 5-foot-9, 160-pound star has positively impacted his team in more ways than one.

In five games played, here are the statistics for Davis:

•ESPN West Palm’s Play of the Week
“it was the first test of the season and people were doubting us,” Davis said. “Going into that one, I felt I needed to show up and show out. I feel like I played my heart out. It’s the definition of leaving it all out on the field.”
Davis shared his favorite play from the Week 3 game against St. Andrew’s.
“It was the first offensive play of the game for us,” Davis said. “A 70-yard post route for a touchdown.”
Davis missed Boca Raton’s most recent game in Week 7, which was a close 9-7 home win over Royal Palm Beach
“I didn’t play in the Royal Palm one due to a hamstring issue,” Davis said. “I’m working with my physical therapist to be back as soon as possible. I’m going to practice this whole week.”
Davis is looking to return for Boca Raton’s next game in Week 9 at Cardinal Gibbons. This tilt is set for Friday night (Oct. 18; 7 p.m. kickoff) in Fort Lauderdale.
“Gibbons is a statement game,” Davis said. “But our team is more focused on winning districts, so I’ll do whatever is best for the team.”
Boca Raton’s most significant game of the season will be in Week 10, when it goes on the road to play against crosstown rival Spanish River (4-2) for the District 14-7A title on Friday, Oct. 25 (6:30 p.m.) kickoff.
Davis shared his aspirations for his senior season with Boca Raton.
“My individual goals are 1,000+ all-purpose yards and 10 touchdowns,” Davis said. “As a team, it is to be back-to-back district champs and to make a deep playoff run.”
Davis credits Bobcats head coach Alex Savakinas as one who has had a positive impact on the entire program’s success to date.
“Coach Sav is an awesome head coach,” Davis said. “He really emphasizes buying into our goals as a team and has done a fantastic job in getting every player on the roster to do so. He’s made an effort to build me into a better player since I’ve came into this program as well, designing plays that allow me to have an opportunity to make plays.”
Davis on Bobcats defensive assistant coach, Belle Glade native, Glades Central alum, and FAU alum Steven Leggett:
“Coach Leggett is our d-line coach, and if you look at the stats for our defense: multiple shutouts and a lot of pressure on the QB,” Davis said. “So it’s clear he’s getting our team ready for every game we play.”
As result of his on-field production, Davis has helped Boca Raton earn a 6-0 record at this moment. In addition to that, he earned his first college offer to the University of Jamestown on Monday night (Oct. 14).
“The University of Jamestown is in North Dakota,” Davis said. “They’re an NAIA school this year, but are being expedited to D2 for the 2025-26 season.”
Davis on how his recruiting process has been going:
“Recruiting is starting to pick up the pace,” Davis said. “Last summer Coach Sav took me and some other players to a couple of college camps. I met a couple of D2 [Division II] schools at those camps who have expressed interest in me. I have been in frequent contact with them since.”
Here’s hoping that Davis exceeds all of his goals for this season and beyond. We wish him the best in all of his endeavors.
