Thursday Night: West Palm Beach Christian Academy’s comeback mission 

DELRAY BEACH – All one needed to do last night (Oct. 17) was watch how West Palm Beach Christian Academy played perhaps its best half of this season.

Down 10-0 at halftime to TRU Prep Academy, senior quarterback Derrick Flanders used his arsenal of weapons at the wide receiver position to garner four touchdown passes en route to a 28-10 win at the Seacrest Complex in Delray Beach.

West Palm Beach Christian Academy (4-3) forced four turnovers in this game, with one of them being an interception caught by senior athlete and Belle Glade native Jeremiah Parks.

Receivers who scored in the second half were:

Ryan Ferdinand (2027 WR/ATH) – 1 touchdown reception in the third quarter

Kawan Ingraham (2027 WR) – 1 75-yard touchdown reception at the end of the third quarter

Kendrick Pierre (2027 WR) – 1 touchdown reception early in the fourth quarter

Grant Turner (2025 ATH) – 1 touchdown reception in the fourth quarter; 2-point conversion catch at the end of the third quarter

Jelani Beasley (2027 ATH) – 2-point conversion catch in the fourth quarter

Players provided their commentary on how this game transpired in their 18-point win over TRU Prep Academy (2-6).

Head coach Eddie Poole Jr. chimed in as well.
