JUPITER – Matis Gibson has proven to be a mostly unstoppable force on the gridiron.
Once a team knows how to use him in the right way, great things happen almost every time he touches the ball.
Case in point: In what was a low-scoring affair at the Palm Beach County All-Star Game last night (Dec. 14) at Jupiter High School, the 6-foot-2, 230-pound athlete from Palm Beach Central took full advantage of his body frame as a tight end. He hauled in a touchdown catch from senior quarterback Sean Siska (Delray Beach American Heritage) on a corner route late in the third quarter of National’s 10-7 win over American.
For his efforts in helping lead National to victory, Gibson earned Offensive MVP honors.

He spoke on his recognition and how his entire season turned out at Palm Beach Central.
In 10 games, Gibson finished with the following statistics:
RECEIVING
•27 receptions
•537 yards
•4 touchdowns
BEST TWO INDIVIDUAL GAMES
•Week 9 at Benjamin in 27-24 win: 4 receptions, 100 yards
•Week 11 at Dwyer in 38-14 win: 4 receptions, 89 yards, 1 touchdown; 1-yard rushing touchdown; 90 total yards, 2 total touchdowns

At this time, Gibson has earned scholarship offers from 11 schools. They include the likes of Keiser, UNC Pembroke, and St. Vincent College, among others. The Palm Beach Central hybrid athlete has not said for sure when he will make his final decision, but he will want us all to do one thing for him.
Stay tuned.
