Countdown to Signing Day: DB Armadi Stinfort goes with Ashland

Let us take a look at Glades Central 2025 defensive back Armadi Stinfort, who was relatively an unknown commodity before his senior season started this past fall.

The Raiders defender finished with the following statistics in 11 games played:

•47 total tackles

•12 pass breakups

•1 interception

Stinfort’s breakout season resulted in an eventual offer and subsequent verbal pledge to Ashland, a Division II program based in Ohio. His  ultimate decision to go with the university was announced on Instagram and X on Jan. 26.

“It was the offensive line coach,” Stinfort said of Jim Cordle, who is also the assistant head coach at Ashland. “Just the fact of the contact he kept me in. He explained the program and the school and he showed me that I’m welcomed. He made me feel like Ashland was the right fit and the program can one day get me to where I want to be.”

Glades Central fellow senior and Bethune-Cookman verbal commit Jerry Alcindor weighed in on Stinfort’s season and college choice.

“Armadi put up his best season and gave it his all,” Alcindor said. “He definitely played a major part in our overall team success. I am proud of him and how he was able to find a home and continue his career.”

Stinfort credited Glades Central head coach and reigning Lou Groza / South Florida High School Coach of the Year Omar Haugabook for his success on and off the field.

“Honestly I can say it was improvement,” said Stinfort, who finished as the Muck’s No. 38-ranked player from the Class of 2025. “Just development as a player and a human being. Since playing with him you can see the increase in wanting better. I’m very grateful for him being my head coach.”

Stinfort is set to sign with Ashland for National Signing Day on Wednesday (Feb. 5) at Glades Central High School in Belle Glade. The signing ceremony time will be announced within the next 24 hours.
