For the next level, the Pahokee native and Moore Haven 2025 linebacker chose to play college football at Edward Waters. He made this official on Monday (Feb. 3).

“Edward Waters is home,” the 6-foot, 200-pound linebacker said. “No out of state fees and also closer to home. The coaches loved me and kept in good contact with me. Why not go play for the first HBCU team in Florida?”

Booth was originally a verbal commit to Western Carolina. But at some point, he decided to make a switch and stay closer to home.

With that said, Edward Waters is getting a reliable defender who is relatively consistent with his level of on-field production. As a senior, Booth posted the following statistics:

•75 tackles

•5 forced fumbles

•3 interceptions

Booth credited coaches from his time at both Moore Haven (senior season; 2024) and Pahokee (freshman through junior seasons; 2021-2023). They are as follows:

HEAD COACHES

•Emanuel Hendrix – former Pahokee Blue Devils head coach (2021-2022); former Moore Haven Terriers head coach (2024)

•Carlos Lammons – current Pahokee head coach (2024-present)

ASSISTANT COACHES

•David Simmons

•Clint Everett

•TJ Porter

•Rick Lammons

•Many others

“Good coaches pushed me everyday to be the player I’m made out to be,” Booth said. “Every time I go to slipping, they will remind me that’s not who I am. They all played a big role in developing me.”

PLEASE NOTE: Booth will be signing to Edward Waters from home sometime tomorrow (Feb. 5 – National Signing Day).
