Signing Day Recap: RB Rashon Brown inks with Bethune-Cookman

PAHOKEE – Rashon Brown ended his senior season as the No. 1-ranked player from the Muck and No. 3-ranked player in Palm Beach County.

The Pahokee Blue Devils running back had a stellar campaign, even as he has been widely viewed as underrated for quite some time. His numbers were as follows in 11 games played:

OFFENSE

•139 carries, 1,297 yards, 5 touchdowns

•19 catches, 387 yards, 2 touchdowns

•1,684 total yards, 7 total touchdowns

DEFENSE

•10 total tackles

SPECIAL TEAMS

•80-yard kickoff return

With these objective marks, we project that the college who gets Brown will have a steal on their hands. And with that said, Brown’s options came down to four schools:

•Bethune-Cookman (HBCU)

•Bowling Green (MAC)

•Western Kentucky (Conference USA)

•West Virginia (Big 12)

Brown revealed his final college decision at the Pahokee High School auditorium during yesterday morning’s (Feb. 5) National Signing Day ceremony.

Watch for yourself right below.

After the National Signing Day festivities wrapped up, the 5-foot-11, 180-pound running back spoke at length about his final decision and more.

Listen to Brown’s words for yourself right below.

We closed Brown’s moment with some words from Pahokee head coach Carlos Lammons.

Let us congratulate and celebrate Brown on a great high school football career and wish him nothing but the best in all of his future endeavors.
