PALM BEACH COUNTY – In the second iteration of Palm Beach County’s player rankings for the Class of 2026, we needed to replace a couple of players.
The reason for this is because both initial Top 25 players have transferred to six-time defending state champion and 16-time state title winner St. Thomas Aquinas in Broward County. Those standouts are wide receiver James Jones (No. 10 in initial Top 25; transferred from Atlantic) and quarterback Mason Mallory (No. 16 in initial Top 25; transferred from West Boca Raton).
Replacing Jones and Mallory was not an easy task, as there were many Palm Beach County juniors to consider. After checking in with a host of credible individuals – those names will not be disclosed – we agreed on a skill position player and a lineman.
We made two additional moves that at least some will see as a surprise, which you will see below.
We have spent a lot of time watching Hudl film, looked over and double-checked statistics throughout the ranked players’ junior season, pored over the quality and quantity of college scholarship offers they received, and heeded to advice from at least one highly credible outside source.
