BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – We have a potential Pahokee Blue Devils legend on our hands now.

There has been a steady level of progression over the last few years with defensive lineman Cormarion Embry. Measured at 6-foot-3, 280 pounds, he had a stellar junior season in the trenches with the following statistics:
•65 total tackles
•13 tackles for loss
•3 sacks

Embry on his junior season with the Blue Devils:
“My junior year went just as planned, getting stronger, faster and, doubling my stats,” Embry said. “I always believed in Coach Carlos [Lammons]. I feed into the program he got running at Pahokee. Next season I’m coming for it all.”
As verified in his Hudl film, Pahokee 2026 defensive lineman stood out in many ways while playing more than one specific position. This played a role into him eventually earning offers from the following schools:
•Western Kentucky
•Bethune-Cookman
•West Virginia State
•FAU
•Coastal Carolina
•Alabama State
•FIU
Embry went on to pledge his verbal commitment to Western Kentucky on April 13.
“Man it was all Coach [Kali] James,” Embry said of the Hilltoppers defensive tackles coach. “That man treated me like family before I even went up there. And before I committed, it just felt like home. It felt like “Pahokee”, like I never left. They got a great coaching staff. They all love each other like brothers up there. That’s the type of coaching staff I want to play for.”
Embry had more to say about the Western Kentucky coaching staff.
“i love the coaching staff’s bond with the football players,” Embry said. “The hype and love they show, it’s like they have known you for years.”
Western Kentucky co-defensive coordinator/defensive backs coach, FAU alum, Royal Palm Beach alum, and Belle Glade native Da’Von Brown had a hand in Embry’s recruiting journey.
“He played a role a lot,” Embry said. “I have someone up who came from where I’m from, which is the Muck. He knew how much I wanted it and he gave me opportunity to get in contact with Coach James.”
Embry’s unofficial visit from April 12-13 would go on to reveal one thing: the spring football circuit would require an intense level of focus and execution for a memorable experience.
The next month proved to be that and more, as the Pahokee defensive lineman went on to have three sacks in his team’s 41-6 spring home win over Deerfield Beach on May 16.
“I got faster and stronger and more twitchy when it comes down to playing with my hands,” Embry said. “And my foot work got better. I’m just a whole new me.”
Embry’s official visit to Western Kentucky is set from June 13-15. This upcoming weekend should further cement his commitment to the Conference USA school, so we will see how this goes.
Other than that, Embry is in training mode.
“I have been working on balance and trying to stay low to the ground as much as possible,” Embry said. “And when I go to the weight room, I only go heavy no matter what day it is. I always go heavy.”
Right now, Embry is ranked as the No. 2 player from the Muck and the No. 8 overall player in Palm Beach County. Find out on June 30 to see where he ends up in our Summer Refresh Top 45 player rankings.
