BELLE GLADE – He can kick on special teams.
He can run and catch the ball on offense.
He can make timely tackles on defense.
He can do just about anything on the field.
Zeth Villarreal is a pillar for Glades Day in many ways, both on the field and off it. The incoming junior represents what the Gators are about as an all-around quality player.

Glades Day incoming senior linebacker Payne Wallace spoke about Villarreal’s level of impact on the team and more.
“On an off the field Zeth brings energy, leadership and passion for his teammates and for the game of football,” Wallace said. “Also his work ethic is through the roof. When it comes to being better at what he loves, he gives 100 percent of what he has inside of him.”
Fellow Glades Day incoming senior teammate and lineman Eric Snow chimed in as well.
“Zeth is a great player and he loves competing and joking,” Snow said. “He has a lot of potential in his field goals, as he is really consistent and almost never misses.”
Right now Villarreal may not have any offers or true interest from colleges at this time. But with more film to show college coaches this coming fall season, we expect the 2027 rising star to see some looks coming his way in the not too distant future.
In addition to that, Villarreal runs track and field and plays soccer. This means he is a three-sport athlete who can be an asset to a college on the next level in more ways than own.
We conducted our first interview with Villarreal during track season. Listen to his words below.
Villarreal would go on to qualify for the Class 1A regional track meet later in the spring. His events were in the long jump, high jump, discus, and 4×100 relay for Glades Day.
After track season ended, Villarreal went into spring football mode. You can watch his group interview with Payne and fellow teammate Jonny Ramos right below.
Villarreal went on to make the most of his spring football experience. He led Glades Day by going on a scoring mission, accounted for 27 of Glades Day’s 28 points in the first half of its 35-7 home win over Marathon on May 16. The 2027 athlete ran for two touchdowns and caught two more from 2029 athlete Algernod Crawford.
“The first touchdown was by me in the first quarter, and it was a handoff from Plies (Crawford),” Villarreal said. “The second touchdown was by me and it was a seam thrown to me by Plies. The third one was by me. It was a handoff from Plies. And the fourth was by me right before halftime. It was a fade thrown by Plies.”
In addition to that, Villarreal went 4-for-4 on his extra point attempts for a 100 percent conversion rate. Three of Villarreal’s extra points were made in the first half and the last one was made in the second half.
After the spring game, Villarreal has been in training mode. He is doing so in a quiet manner, which means we will have to wait until the fall season to see what comes next for the this great Glades Day representative.
Stay tuned for a future update on Villarreal’s progress.
