Week 3 recap: Every Muck team comes out on top

BOCA RATON – The Muck will get to enjoy a wholesome and glorious weekend in the name of high school football.

For the first time this season, Glades Day (1-3) joins Glades Central (3-0; No. 5 ranked team in Palm Beach County) and Pahokee (3-0; No. 3 ranked team in Palm Beach County) as victors on the gridiron.

Glades Day is at peace as it secured a victory on the road against Boca Raton Christian on Friday, Sept. 5, 2025 in Boca Raton.

We were treated to a true all-around performance from junior athlete Zeth Villarreal, who led Glades Day to a 52-27 road victory on Friday night (Sept. 5) over Boca Raton Christian (2-1).

Villarreal had two touchdown passes – two to sophomore wide receiver Jacaris Jones – and two rushing touchdowns in the first two frames.

Meanwhile, junior running back Ramsey Rimes added a rushing touchdown of his own.

The trio of Villarreal, Jones, and Rimes helped lead Glades Day to a 31-14 halftime lead.

Boca Raton Christian made the second half interesting for a bit. Blazers junior quarterback Joseph Weber found senior wide receiver Christian Anderson for a wide open 13-yard touchdown pass, which helped cut Glades Day’s lead to 31-21 with less than nine minutes left in the third frame.

But from that point on, the Gators scored 21 unanswered points. Those end-zone moments including two rushing scores from Rimes and one more passing touchdown from Villarreal.

It turned out to be a full team effort from Glades Day, which forced several Boca Raton Christian turnovers on defense and dominated the lines of scrimmage for most of the game.

Hear words below from Villarreal as he went into details on how this game turned out for Glades Day.
